City Council Actions
Decriminalize sex work, drug posession and use, and other “nusiance” crimes.
Pass a City resolution urging the end of cash bail in Dauphin County.
Data/Transparency
Require the Harrisburg Police Department to post public documents and department statistics on a website in an easy-to-access way instead of hiding behind the RTK process.
Require the Harrisburg Police Department to collect racial and other demographic data on stops, arrests, and charges and post publicly on a website in an easy to access manner.
2021 Budget
Freeze all hiring for the Harrisburg Police Department.
Cut the Harrisburg Police Department budget and reinvest those funds into community services.
Prioritize cuts to Harrisburg Police Department budget when making cuts due to the economic impact of COVID-19.
Remove city funding and incentives for placing police in Harrisburg schools.
Campaign Contributions/FOP
Publically demand that the FOP police union contract be reopened to renegotiate early.
Require political candidates in Harrisburg to disclose donations from the FOP.
Sign the No Cop Money pledge committing to no campaign contributions from law enforcement.
